Try it

Take a payment in a pretend invoicing app.

FieldDesk is made up, and so are its customers. The Pay button, the payment window and the way the payment is recorded on the invoice are SwitchKeep's own code, running in demo mode in your browser. Nothing is charged, and nothing is sent anywhere.

Demo: no real payments

The demo loads here. It needs JavaScript.

What you just saw

The real parts, and the pretend ones.

Real

  • The Pay button on the invoice, and the payment dialog it opens.
  • The secure payment window, which is separate from the software's page.
  • The steps you watch as the payment is recorded on the invoice, and the balance check at the end.

Pretend

  • FieldDesk, its business, customers and invoices.
  • The card form: a stand-in filled with a test card number that can't be changed.
  • The charge. There's no processor and no server behind this page, so every payment is approved.

In real use

  • The card is typed into your processor's own secure fields, never into your software's page.
  • The money goes to your own merchant account.
  • The payment is recorded on the invoice in the software you already use.

Want it on your own invoices?

The SwitchKeep extension and the merchant portal are free for merchants. The walkthrough shows every step, from checking your software to your first payment.
